I think nothing of it because I do it all the time.
I’d think they were just being friendly. I probably wouldn’t think much of it.

huh? what is wrong speaking to someone as you pass them by? I does that at times, the woman speak or smile and slightly nob her head. just someone felt like speaking to you….
I would say hi, ask you your name and make a joke asking you what a nice girl like you is doing in a place like this.
