What does it mean 4 mexican guys calling out to one of their male friends as some women approach “camaronas!”?

Here are 3 things that you must know about meeting women:
1. You must learn to act with complete and total confidence... Even if you aren't naturally confident around women, it CAN be learned, and a lot faster than you might think.
2. You must understand how women REALLY think, and what it takes to build REAL attraction Read more...
I heard this recently and want to know if it is offensive or complementary. I know that "camarones" means shrimp so what is this slang meaning?

camarones would be the plural of the word cameron
camarón [cah-mah-rone’]
noun
1. Shrimp; prawn. (m)
2. Tip, gratuity. (Ante Meridian & Central America) (m)
3. Turncoat (traidor); hacer camarón, to change sides. (Andes) (m)
4. Casual word (trabajo). (Ante Meridian & Central America) (m)
5. (Cono Sur) Bunk (bed). (m)
My opinion (for what it’s worth) is that either the women were short (shrimps) or the men were "tipping off" the other guys that there was a woman worth looking at OR just that someone, anyone, was coming past. Definition 4 says it is the casual word for trabajo, which means to work. (shrugs)
are you sure they didn’t say ‘ cabronas’ ? which can be a simple word to say person or can be an insulting name depending on how they use it. though i think the word in general sounds rude. as for camaronas i wouldn’t know it would probably just be a nickname since it is not something i have heard before.
