Y’know, those seminars (books, etc..), similar to Tom Cruise in Magnolia, where a guy inspires and teaches men about how ineffective their natural instincts & logic are for picking up women. They teach how to become an alpha male and use techniques that take advantage of more lamentable parts of women’s nature. I’ve heard that there’s a disproportionate amount of men that grew up without a father involved in that kind of thing. My feeling on it is that the techniques might work, but what kind of woman are you going to end up with?

I think it’s really sad that these men are so lame they need to use these tactics instead of being themselves. They will end up with women who have no self-esteem, which if they’re only looking for sex, will be quite fine with them.
It’s not bad, feminists shouldn’t care they don’t have to act they just have men come to them.
I personally think they’re gimmicks.
I hate Sales(I’m analytical), but you can honestly learn a lot just from taking a Sales Course. This will help you talk to people in general.
i don’t see how pretending to be someone you’re not is going to help anyone discover a good relationship.
but then, it seems to me that they are just trying to get some action. so i doubt they’d "end up" with anything… (‘cept maybe an std &/or child support payments if they aren’t careful)
"that sort of thing wont get you very far" duh its supposed to get you to score, their "game" is to have sex with as many women as possible.
If you are having success with women anyway, those seminars wont probably do much for you.
If in the dating game you are a complete beginner or otherwise impared, those seminars can give you valuable tipps, although most are pretty basic and obvious but still not followed by some.
Get nice clothes get a style talk to women make friends with women, duh thanks sherlock what would I only do without your smartness o.O

I can’t imagine how sexy it would be for a man to be pretending to be something he isn’t. I prefer a man who is comfortable in his own skin and doesn’t look for shortcomings just accepts himself for what he is. To me that is appealing much more so than some macho foolishness.
As for fathers. Most of them had no real role model anyway. Men were taught not to discuss emotional subjects with their children. I think I would have dropped over dead if either of my parents started to discuss the pros and cons of a good relationship and what they did to turn each others crank. Yikes the thought it sends me running for the phone book to find a therapist.
We learn about relationship by being in them. Even the worst one teaches us more about ourselves.
