I’ve been single for 4 years now, and I really want a girlfriend. Here’s the problem: Every time I see a girl I’m interested in, I feel like there’s concrete blocks on my feet. I want to approach women, but, I just can’t seem to work up the nerve. I’ve always been kinda nerdy, both in looks, and personality. I get nervous talking to women, but, I think that if I can approach a woman, and talk to her with confidence, I should be able to do pretty well. I’m 6’1" tall, with a slightly muscular build, with short brown/blonde hair, grey eyes, and glasses. My friends tell me I’m funny, too.

Can anyone tell me how to build my confidence, so I can get myself a girlfriend?

How do i attract women?…im freshly groom have a very mature personality but yet goofy, i have goals in life, a job and a car but for some reason i still can’t attract them….im not ugly or anything but its like im not getting looks or if they are looking i never notice until a friend tells me then its too late…what am i suppose to do im out of my mind with this, first i though maybe its the city im in so when my family decides to move to another city its the same thing…when i do talk to some women i get the "I have a boyfriend" line or they just don’t seem interested im a nice dude i have flaws but im not the type who do people wrong or women in that matter…i can talk about anything and listen to what women have to say but still i just can’t get that attraction i see other guys get and i don’t see anything different from what i do expect for some which i see like wow she interested in that dude and he’s a scrub lol what do i do?…..*Serious Answers only plz*

Im kind of having a hard time building confidence to talk to a girl. I mean Ive gotten alot of comments on saying that "Im cute" lol and things like that but I cant seem to get enough confidence to go up and talk to a girl. Alright so I have liked this girl for a while but never got the opportunity to really talk to her until lately… Lately she has been on Facebook and I have talked to her for the past couple of days and she has stayed online for hours talking to me so I think she is sort of interested although when I ask her questions her answers are only one words and I feel like the convo is one sided some of the time.. At school I am in no classes with her which sucks, and when I want to approach her she is always with a group of friends that are girls and I don’t know how I could. We have been dating for just over a month now. He’s been talking about me moving onto post with him. My friends are warning me that all army(armed forces) men are "Alpha" males and I better be prepared to listen and do as asked. I’ve never been in that kind of a relationship. I need advice on how to approach a woman. I am confident, but when it comes to women, the confidence disappears. I’m well off, I mean I’m 6’5", in decent shape. I’m a nurse, I’m currently in medical school and I have a business. I think maybe I have focused on my success too much. The problem is that when I go out with my buddies I get looks from women, but I can never get the courage to go and talk to them. I really need help, I’m not getting any younger. For a while now I’ve found mature women in their late 30′s and 40′s to be really hot. I just turned 21 and feel my chances of interacting with one are way more likely now that I can go to bars and clubs.

So I finally said hi on facebook chat, and he did not respond and went offline. The next day, it was ackward because I saw him in person, we were like a few feet away and I saw him stairing at me, then we got an eye lock, and then I broke it by looking away. The guy I was with, who is just my FRIEND started stairing at him, the guy I like looked away..

So an hour after that happened, he came on facebook chat and was like "yo i know you feelin’ me, so here’s my number #, give me a call.." I didn’t respond to him because I was in lab. then he went offline. Then half an hour later I was still in lab and he came online facebook chat and was like "yo you got dat?" and I was like yeah I’m in lab.. then he went offline.

Later on in the night, same day I texted him and I was like hi, how are you? and he was like what are you doing? and I told him that i was watching a movie with my friends. and he was like i’m poppin in a movie now, come watch it with me. and i said i couldn’t because i was with my friends.

then he was like what are you doing toamrrow? and i said i was volunteering, studying for music, and going to a play. and i was like don’t you have to play tomarrow? because he’s n the football team. and he was like fuck it fam. so i was like what movie are you watching? and he didn’t answer.

then saturday, i texted him hi again and he didn’ respond until like 11pm and was like come to my room. and i told him that i was studying for my music class, and that it was late, and he said what? late? waht late? and i told him that by the time i’m finished studying with my friends that it would be like 1 am and he didn’t respond. then i said i know it seems like i’m ditching you, but i’m not diong it on purpose.

but agh.. idk it seems as if he just wants to sleep with me, what do you think?

I’m 5′ 6" and i know there are short guys that date women who are taller than them i see it everyday to. I admit i like tall girls my self to but the thing is how do i know if tall girls don’t care about height? On top of it to i’m a mixed race and i know white girls tend to date there own race. I mean it literally. Every time we encounter she always says hi even though she’s already said it earlier before. Even from a distance, I’ll be walking with my friends, talking to each other, when out of the blue she she shouts out my name! Does she like me or is she being a little "fuuny"?
