The media is encouraging this trend that you mentioned. In my opinion, all of these "makeover shows" such as "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy," etc. really needs to stop. I don’t mind if gay dudes wanna fuss over their hair and primp themselves like they were getting ready for the Miss America paegent, but for the rest of us straight guys who could really care less about what mainstream media is suggesting to us today, I propose a new batch of reality TV shows for the manly men out there. What we need to get are more manly TV shows like "Real Life: I’m a Pirate", "Gus the Lumberjack" or "Slash McNash: Vigilante Justice."
