I have this problem also. I am not shy to meet them, but I get very shy when it comes to initiating intimacy. I guess that is fear of rejection. I no longer have a problem. Here was my solution.
I found my soulmate on the internet over 5 years ago. We are still happily married. I found that if the person had never seen me, that I could be more open. And the intimacy thing was not a problem, because we never met physically until we corresponded several weeks. By the time we actually met physically, we felt we knew each other well and were in love.
I’ve tried meeting women in the ‘traditional’ ways, but never found anything lasting. Maybe it is because those ways limit your number of possible matches, and because you tend to focus too early on physical attractiveness, and the first meeting impressions.
i have the same problem / first things first wear nice clothes and be polite dont cuss.if you want alot of looks try wearing leather pants for some reason women like guys in leather tight leather especially in the ass and ball area go out in tight leather girls will be all over you promise it works for me it should work for you but attitude is everything.remember

Just kidding. Well, I’m not a guy, but because you are shy maybe its better to go the "friend" route. Then you can get over your shyness by getting to know her without the anxiety. You also feel more confident around her and then one day maybe something in you will drive you to move forward with the relationship. Just be careful…don’t be her best friend…don’t be the one that she always cries to you about things. Then you’ll just be a rebound guy or something.
How do you make friends with girls? You are going to have to step up a bit. Don’t be weird and stare girls down. It should come naturally. You should be in locations that you are comfortable in. I don’t know what you are into, but whatever your interests are you should try to find a girl with the same interests. Then the conversation will be easier to start. Maybe there is someone at your work that you are interested in? Then you should just ask them to hang out. That’s not too hard is it? You know saying it is so much easier than actually doing it. Bro, I had the same problem! Honestally, play your card right and you’ll find a girl that thinks your shyness is cute and then your in good! You dont have to worry about picking up ladies! If you show your shyness around them then thats good enough! But if you really must know! If you go to a party or something and you wanna get a girl there’s 3 things you need to know!
1) Make DAMN sure she dont have a boyfriend!! If your shy and she tells you she has a boyfriend it my bother you a lil! Depends on how shy you are!
2)Joke with her! DON’T turn everything into a joke! Just the small talk that doesn’t matter!
3) I know people have already told you this BE-YOURSELF!!!!!! Dont play Mr.T thinking it makes you look big and bad! That a sure fire way for someone to lay you out right in front of her!
If all else fails tell her the same thing I tell girls! To the world their one person, but to one person their the world!!! Usually its stuff like that that makes them give!!!
What is it that you are shy about? Or did you have a bad experience with another girl and you don’t want that to happen to you again? Believe it or not, in this day and age, we women do like to do the approaching too, but some of us are still very much old fashioned and expect for you guys to come up to us. The next time you see a girl that you want to ask out, just do it (but with confidence and your head held high)…if she says no, hey there are so many more women out ther that you can find things in common with I’ll bet!!! It kills me when I hear of a young girl or guy that totally freak when they ask someone out and they get turned down or that person never asks them out…don’t make it into a big deal….Always have confidence!!
I’ve found it is easiest if you lock your wrist in your grasp preferably just below her hips pull her to you with knees bent and press up with your legs careful not to injure your lower back…
