I have many friends that are girls and we call each other/text, and we hang out a lot, but how do you tell if they like you as a friend or someone they are interested in dating?

You wait to see their reaction towards you, and then take it from there. With woman you never know what their thinking.
The only true way of finding out is risking losing a friendship.
You have to make your move at some point, where you either try to hold her hand or try to kiss her. If you let’s you, she wants to date you. If she doesn’t then she see you as a friend.
