I really want to know some bona fide tips to approaching women without looking like I’m some stalker.

Well to be a stalker you would have to follow them everywhere they go. When you see someone you like, just introduce yourself and get to know them. To avoid being a stalker, do not, I repeat, DO NOT follow them home.
Take that freakin hat off.
walk up slowly behind her. say excuse me mam. then ask her where a sertain place is. then tell her you are not sure you could find it by urself. ask her to take you there. some girls will run off some wont.
USE YOUR EYES
pickup lines arent worth the risk and embarassment, even if there funny(usually alot funnier to witnesses). jsut put urself out there, b genuine, and dont come off too strong
EYE CONTACT is everything.
Do something which attracts them nicely & emotionally.
Remember women are very soft by heart & got attracted to every kindness done by males. Praise them for their beauty you watch & appriciate their comments to others. Approach without any fear in you mind in a very soft manner you will succeed shortly.

go up to her and tell her what you feel. the worst she can say is no and if you dont ask her then you might regret it

just walk up to her lik a regular person and just be normal dont be like some guys that just goes up to a girl and says hey hot momma let me get ur digits dont do that or the girl might not like u lik that
dont just follow her without talking to her,,just ask her out,,if she likes you she will,,otherwise move on
be casual, and kinda smile a little. be nice and don’t come on too strong.
u could go some thing like this, excuse miss, how ru doing my name is….. and see where it goes from there

be nice and complementary but not cheesy, dont make it like your hitting on them but genuially mean something nice

Go out and find something you love to do. Whatever it is some woman somewhere will love what you do too. Then talk, and ask her out.
