Hi, all –
Well, I’ve been out of the dating game for about 2 years now, partially due to a recently-ended relationship, partially due to a hectic life. Now that things are slowing down a little bit, I’ve realized I’ve kind of forgotten how to talk to and approach women.
Anyone have any advice/tips for me? I’m mostly looking for feedback from the gals, but guys are welcome to post too. Thanks in advance all!
To add a small detail in regards to what Linz asked: I generally prefer to meet women outside of clubs and bars; generally not my type of place.

Well, where do you go to meet women? Bars? Coffee shops? It depends on the setting to some extent.
Really all you need to do is look well-groomed and smell good and show that you are confident by not being afraid to make eye contact. I am the type of woman that if I see a man I want to talk to I have no qualms about approaching him and finding out if he’s someone I would be interested in knowing.
Based on what I’ve seen you post so far on YA, I believe you have plenty to offer. So smile and look pretty and the rest should fall into place.

Ah, I’m one of those people never at a loss for words, or shy, for that matter, so hopefully I can help. Next time, try this:
"Hey, I hope I’m not bothering you, but I just wanted to say hello; it is always a good day for me when I get to say hello to a pretty woman."
Flash your biggest smile, and start to step back; if she’s interested, she won’t let you step too far.
Smile and say hi. Don’t be aggressive – overly "interested" men are a turn off. Just be you. We don’t usually bite in public.
Carefully…. they are a skittish species of humanoid. You’ll need a blind and something that resembles cash…
Otherwise, just be yourself… lol
I admit that I’m a sucker for a sweet-talkin’ man. Just the other day a guy in a truck with a cow in the back pulled up beside me and said, "Shoot, honey, I shore wish I was comin’ home to you instead of this cow." I swear-ta-gawd my heart melted!
