I get charged .25 for pizza delivery on an order of .75. They are located less than a mile away from my house.

that’s likely a gas surcharge or delivery fee and the driver gets none of it. I’d tip 2 or 3.00, or as the first poster said, go pick up the pizza if it irks you that much. To me, the deliver is well worth the 2.25- gas cost money, my time is worth money, plus the wear and tear on my tires, etc.
then why didnt you just order it in and then go pick it up?
id give him/her 5 bucks
Don’t they are doing there job why should they be rewarded more then just there salary for doing there job.

most people tip 15-20%.
15% would give you about $2.81
20% would give you $3.75
my family and i tip better if they get there faster.
and of course we tell the cashier over the phone this.
we get super delivery and it’s worth every penny!
Same as a waiter in a restaurant.
None of the delivery charge goes to the driver and since it is so close, you either need to pick it up yourself or give them 3-5 dollars for driving it to you.
