I like him to be physically strong. If he can carry groceries, kill bugs (without torturing me with them first), and move furniture around the house. It’s nice to know he is capable of defending me from intruders or muggers even if we never have to find out. The idea is that he can take charge when necessary and let me be the Queen sometimes without it bugging him too much. When I think ‘Alpha’ I think he looks good in a tee shirt and worn jeans or a power suit and he knows how to carry himself in both situations. He is just a tad below arrogant and yet has a confident air about him.

Don’t think about what girls look out for or what they want in general. Each person is an individual with different wants or needs. Work on developing yourself into the person you want to be, work on developing personal projects and achieving goals. And forget thinks like being alpha, because if you have to ask…you’re not alpha, and you won’t get ahead like this.
If you need to ask this question you’ll just be faking it anyway, people will see right thru that.

girls are different
i happen to fall for the high-testosterone jerks that have to take control of everything
while other girls like the be the dominant force in their own lives, and dont want anyone looking after them
it kind of stems back to cave-man times when men were the head hanchos that brought back the food and protected the family
and fought other males etc etc
but recently times have changed and women are becoming more independent and dont "need" men anymore
it varies a lot
ground rule- make them feel safe and secure and loved, protect them but dont be over bearing, dont suffocate them, and let them go out and hang with their other friends
girls love showing off their boyfriend, so it is a great advantage if you happen to be really good and sports and you can kick everyones butt, but no one likes a show off… dont be a sore winner or a sore loser

I’m not sure if he has to be an alpha male, but for me personally I’d like him to be very masculine. But I’d also want him to be sensitive and caring, not a jerk. Most of all I want him to be protective of me. But if you don’t have these qualities, the important thing is that you don’t change yourself. It is important to just be yourself, a girl will come along who loves everything about you, just be patient.
apparently girls are turned on by a guy whos a little dominant. and i dont mean "make my dinner" dominant. depends though, personally..major turn on for me

Real women want a man who is emotionally understanding, emotionally intelligent, sensitive, gentle, honest, caring and passionate. This is what i like, anyway. Being sensitive does NOT make a man a "Sissy" in any way, shape or form. A man who is sensitive simply is just more in touch with himself and his emotions, and is comfortable in his sexuality, and can express his emotions freely and without shame. Of course, physical attractiveness helps, too. But you don’t have to be a "Tool", or even be very muscular to be attractive. You can be a total geek and still be cute.
