My thoughts are to always look at them in the eye when they past by you and just simply do a smile or a smile with ‘how’s it going’.

I find a rolled up sock shoved down the front of your trousers works wonders
I just keep a really relaxed face (except for the smiling of course), and vicious eye contact. Oh, and dont move your arms alot unless you make hand motions when you talk. No figeting or anything like that. Just be still, relax, and make eye contact.
