To go out for dinner with your date: Take them to a community lot by taxi or car, a community lot that has a restaurant (or some kind of eating place). If you don’t know how to build one yourself, just add a downtown to your neighborhood and pick a restaurant when asked where do you want to go.
To go to a nightclub: Those are in downtown as well, so add a downtown to your neighborhood (there should be a button for that on the top left of your neighborhood screen) and pick a place with "nightclub" in its name to go to.
When you are on a date you can move from one lot to another, just as you would if you were on your own. Your date will come with you.
You can Dine in any Neighborhood as far as i can tell, as long as it’s a lot with a restaurant on it.
You can tell if there is a restaurant if you see many tables, a kitchen with a chef, and waiters.
Look for a little stand with a book on it. It normally has someone standing at it. Click the stand, it should say something like ‘be seated’.
To go on a date in the sims 2 you have to go to the phone, click call, then ask on date. Then choose the sim that you would like to go on a date with.
I too am a fan of Sims2!
I’m having problems with this too. One time I had a date and when I clicked ‘Be seated’ we sat in seperate tables. I’ll try again, this time the downtown, but I’m still not so sure.
