just be sincere and charming, do not use pick up lines they are quite offending. talk to her about something you both like find out about your interests.
I would say for you to..
Walk up to them and give them a good line.
but not one that is really cheesy.
or you could just give them a compliment, that’s always nice.
and be yourself.

well it totally depends on what you’re going for and where u are, but assuming you’re going for random girls u dont no in generic places:
just walk up to her, not from behind, and ask her for her opinion on something. Keep your voice casual and kind, and ask her something interesting, that most people would have thoughts and opinions on. It really depends on the event you’re at what kind of thing you should ask. "Hey, I was just discussing (insert interesting topic) with my friend, but I need a female opinion, do you think…." remember, you’re have a conversation WITH her, you r not talking about yourself, nor are u talking about her. she isnt going to talk about herself (well she might, but thats not bad, its just not what u want). you’re not getting to know each other at this point. save that for the first date.
Instead, you strike up a conversation that has nothing to do with either. If she’s friendly, she will chit chat for a little while about the topic, and from there you can throw out a compliment and shift the focus of the conversation onto something more personal. You’ve already made it clear you are being friendly, not overtly trying to hit on her, and this is refreshing for women.
you can also go for the "observation method" where u will make an observation about whats going on around her, or about the situation u are both in. like how slow the line is moving or something. then just keep the conversation on random situational things until u find an opportunity to make it more personal. if u cant, thats cool, just be sure that she knows u were hitting on her, and u get her number.
It sounds harder than it really is, just get out there and try.
