The easiest way to get comfortable talking to girls you like is to get comfortable having conversations in general. Practice making small talk with other people you know, but that aren't your best friends. You can also practice by talking to family members that aren't ones you see every day. This will get you used to coming up with regular questions to ask, and what to say when someone asks about you.

Also, try talking to her when you're in a good, energetic mood. Don't force yourself if you're feeling nervous or especially shy. Another trick is to "pretend" you don't like her, and try your best to act normally. Take deep breaths, and recognize when you're getting nervous.

It's also good that you're thinking of conversation topics in case you get nervous. Just try your best not to make it sound rehearsed. If all you say is "hi", a simple, "hi, how are you? Do you know what you're doing for halloween?" will work to build a conversation.

Good luck
