DO NOT MAKE UP SOMETHING ABOUT THE GIRL!!! if it gets back to her she will resent you. just talk to him and let him know that you have feelings for the girl. don’t fight over her girls don’t really like that. at least i dont. and try not to get into a competition for her either. but don’t seem desperate to her.
Well, there isn’t anyway to control other people’s emotions, but, I think you should just ask the girl out, then if she says yes, she’s yours, and you can knock him out if he tries anything with her
One, don’t let him know you feel that way, then it usually gets competitive whether you guys are "cool" about it or not. I’d try getting on the "in" with that chick so if it’s known you guys talk it he might feel like he’s invading boundaries if he tries to get at her.
