I have this girl in my life and I love her and she loves me but she also loves this other dude, so I said okay give him a shot, but now shes saying she shouldnt have gone with him but still loves him, and I need to way to know if shes covering it up or is not wanting to hurt him, if so how do I get her to love me enough to give me a shot?

well it sounds to me that she’s regreting it and she still has feelings for the other guy because they might have barely broken up.
Well be there for her, do what you always did even before she went out with that dude and let her get over the guy she was going out with, and then you could probably ask her out or make a move
