I’ve actually read a little bit of guys who refer to themselves as "Pick Up Artists" or claim to be part of the "Seduction Community". Would any woman go for any of this stuff? And what would you think of a guy if you found out that he read books about how to pick up women or if he tried any of the things written in their books?

They’re easy to spot. They use the whole insult you while trying to be funny schtick. They make full eye contact without breaking it, giving you the overall creepy stalker vibe yet they think they exude confidence. Seeing as I’m married, I try to look as menacing as I can to avoid being hit on (I find it bothersome) but they still don’t get the hint – PUA’s especially. The "community" as a whole teaches men that women are a numbers game (what isn’t a numbers game?!?) and that if you approach enough women, you’re bound to find someone who’ll go for you. Some advice is solid i.e. be self assured, brush your teeth and try not to look like your mama picked out your clothes but for the most part, it’s about manipulation. They even believe they can hypnotize women. What kind of sicko wants to hypnotize a woman besides a serial rapist? Only dumb women can be manipulated so PUA’s tend to get pissed when the women their crap works on are shallow, vapid and pointless. All are the same in that all PUA’s agree that men only go for looks (women for confidence) which is completely hilarious when they bitch about said woman being stupid, shallow and pointless when in reality they got what they paid for. Most men I know laugh at the "seduction community" and that if it’s got to be "taught" to you, you shouldn’t be reproducing – realizing that it’s only the bottom feeders that buy into the whole "seduction community". . All my male friends and husband say the same thing: be yourself otherwise you’re hiding who you are. If your a nerd – be a nerd loud and proud. I know a lot of married and dating nerds. Most women go for an all around solid guy in a variety of flavors. PUA’s are not the kind of male you want to mix with.
