The alpha male doesn't always get the girl. Diff ppl have diff preferences. If a guy is "perfect" and lets it get to his head, it is a major turn off for me. I recognize, though, that many females are attracted to such guys. Maybe it is low self respect...they might feel they need the "perfect" guy to prove that they are good enough or worthy of attention. And you are right, it does seem like many women stay with "alpha males" even if they don't treat them well. I really don't know why this is...maybe they are settling for the guy's bad behavior because they think it's a trade-off for the guy's other "good" qualities. For the record, I have turned down many alpha males and have found a guy who I love way more than I could any of the others.
